Our Story
Camellia Café is a gallery of artistic work created by prestige local artists of St. Tammany parish. We have been serving the Slidell community since 2004. We offer breakfast and lunch 7 days a week and dinner as well on Thursday & Friday nights. We would also love to help you cater your next special event. So, whether you’re looking for an eclectic bayou born taste or just wanting to show your guest how folks here in the south live and eat, were here to help.
We specialize in traditional New Orleans cuisine just like your mama used to make! If you have been missing some of your favorite New Orleans dishes like homemade gumbos or shrimp corn and crab bisque, then you should come visit us! We have many items that we are told by our customers that they just can’t live without, from our Smothered Fried Chicken, or Shrimp and Squash Casserole to our amazing Bread Pudding. There is something to please everyone in your party!
Our Food
Here at Camellia Café in Slidell, we only serve the freshest of seafood. Let us serve you up one of our Seafood Platters with all the sides or try our Double Battered Onion Rings, along with one of our Daily Specials that are sure to please. We wouldn’t be a New Orleans restaurant if we didn’t offer the best selection of Poor Boys in town, come try us for lunch and dine on some of the classics like Slow Roasted Roast Beef and Gravy, Soft Shell Crab, Hot Sausage and of course Fried Shrimp, Oyster or Catfish dressed any way you like it on fresh French Bread served to perfection with French Fries, Onion Rings or even Sweet Potato Fries!
If we haven’t tempted you enough, our dessert menu is fabulous. Finish off your meal with Homemade Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce, Red Velvet Cheesecake, or Chocolate Fudge Cake.

Cutest little cafe, and the lunch portions are huge! The catfish is my favorite! They also have a breakfast buffet on the weekends that I would love to try one weekend! Great and fast customer service.
Great food, service and ambience. Definitely will have to go back next time I'm in town. We had breakfast and I definitely want to try their lunch or dinner food.
Good food and a lot of it! We were in town and didn't want to go into the big city. Didn't need to with this gem in Slidell! The shrimp and grits was spot on! Coffee was good. Waitresses were friendly. Diner ambiance. Good value for the money.
